Isabel Carvalho
Isabel is the CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of Equigerminal. With a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine and biotechnology, Isabel has dedicated her life to enhancing the health of horses and pets. A veterinarian with a PhD in equine virology, Isabel's expertise spans immunology, regenerative medicine, and cutting-edge diagnostics. Her commitment to animal welfare is also reflected in her role as President of the National Commission for the Protection of Animals Used for Scientific Purposes.

Alexandre Pires
Alexandre is the COO and CFO of Equigerminal. An agricultural and animal production engineer with a passion for horses, Alexandre is also pursuing a PhD in Equine Biotechnology. He brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to Equigerminal, driving innovation in equine and pet health. Alexandre’s personal journey includes the loss of his beloved mare, Ruivinha, which fueled his dedication to finding better diagnostic tools and therapies for equine diseases.
