Quality Control and RDI Management System
The accreditation and certification of the Equigerminal Laboratory constitutes the recognition of the technical and scientific competence in carrying out diagnostic laboratory tests, as well as in the associated research, development and innovation activities.
The Quality Control Management System & RDI (QCMS) implemented in the laboratory comprises its organisation, the written documents, records and physical resources of the laboratory.
The tests carried out at the Equigerminal Laboratory are based on a high scientific support, using several internationally recognised publications, recommendations from reference entities and existing regulations for testing.
Quality Control & RDI Policy
The Quality Control & RDI Policy focuses on the continuous improvement of the services provided to customers, and on the reliability of the analytical results provided, and on the research, development and innovation related to their activity.
In order to pursue these objectives, the necessary resources are made available to the implemented QCMS.
To achieve these objectives, the Equigerminal Laboratory commits itself to:
- To satisfy the needs and requirements of the clients in order to guarantee the recognition of the quality of the services provided;
- To satisfy the needs and requirements of the clients in order to guarantee the recognition of the quality of the services provided;
- Guarantee impartiality and independence in relation to the tests carried out, as well as professional secrecy in all information acquired;
- Carry out the tests according to the established procedures and test methods and to provide a service which complies with the requirements previously agreed with the customers;
- Ensure continuous updating and improvement of methods and processes so that they always correspond to good professional practice;
- Ensuring the continued application of good professional practice, as well as the quality of the tests provided to its clients;
- Improve the level of training of staff in order to ensure that all Laboratory staff are familiar with the documents applicable to their function and the Laboratory QCMS;
- Keep the laboratory properly organised in order to operate systematically and ensure compliance with the requirements of NP EN ISO/IEC 17025, NP EN ISO 9001 and IDI NP 4457;
- Ensure continuous improvement of the effectiveness of QCMS implemented in the laboratory;
- Ensure the research, development and innovation of new products and services;
- Ensure the handling of all complaints from customers and third parties.
Objectives of the QCMS
- To meet or exceed the expectations of the client regarding the contracted services;
- To seek continuous improvement of the services provided and the methods used in the tests;
- Develop new products, services, processes and approaches to the market related to the activity.

- The recognition of the Equigerminal Laboratory as accredited entity in the tests included in the scope of accreditation and certified in the defined scope.
Direction – declaration of commitment
The Executive Director of the Equigerminal Laboratory approves the Quality Manual & RDI and expresses full support to the QCMS in order to ensure compliance with the legal, regulatory and customer requirements of the NP EN ISO / IEC 17025, NP EN ISO 9001 and IDI NP 4457 requirements.
The Executive Director also undertakes to ensure the guidelines set out in this manual:
- Impartiality and independence;
- Confidentiality and security;
- Ethics and scientific rigor;
- Quality Control Policy and RDI.
